Ocean Gallery II

I was on RT.22 today and decided to stop by Ocean Gallery II. Hadn't been there in a while. The staff is very knowledgeable , patient and address all your queries. They have a great selection of fish,Inverts, food and dry goods.. Their prices are also very reasonable. Thumbs up for OCG II ;)

the OGII has had a pretty good selection of corals but recently has really improved on the corals(getting in a lot of nice stuff). They also have a very wide variety of fish as well. Everyone is real friendly and they also give a discount to members. I go there about twice a month. ;D

was in there yesterday....great stuff!...picked up 5 scarlet reef hermits and a coral banded shrimp....everyone seems to be happy and doing fine! My only complaint with OGII, and I may mention it at my next visit, is I think they need to do a better job with prominently posting price lists on their livestock...otherwise, it appears to be too arbitrary...for example..their website states that coral banded shrimp are 9.99 and the scarlet reef are 1.79 (I think). I mentioned this to craig (I think it was craig) and he gave me the coral banded for the website price - he originally quoted the shrimp at 14.99. I didn't realize at that time that the scarlet reef was cheaper then the 2.40 he quoted me, so, in essense, I overpaid for the hermits. However, I am not going to complain to him about it, I still got my 15% discount and with a package of frozen food the total came to like 23 bucks. I'm happy! Just think they should post their prices better and make sure they are accurate with their new web page. I'm sure they will get to it as the web site is so new for them at this point.

They do a very good job on the corals, but honestly the dry goods are a quite the mess. Everything is in disarray, light bulbs just haphazardly lying in a corner. I was in there a couple of months ago looking for a test kit, and was told to just keep looking, so I kept looking...at another store.

Can't tell what the prices are on fish either. The description/price on the tank often doesn't match the inhabitants in the tank.

That is retail in general. Go to Best Buys web site and look for the price for almost any item. then go to the store, I bet the price will be more. In my case it was for a hoover floor clearer. It was like $50 higher in the store. Online prices and Retail prices are usually different. But most retailers will give you the web price if you ask. Just my 2 cents, It was something I found interesting.
