Hello hello everyone so an update on my tank. So with the addition of some live rock from a fellow reefer my tank has flourished. A sign of a few hitchhikers was i guess a good sign. After a few days and tests later it seemed to be cycled...... but I was suspicious so I left it alone. Anyways fast forward a few days I wake up middle of the night to took to find a few small snails moving around in the sand. So in the morning I tested seemed legit. So after a water change I add my first coral which happen to be a small mushroom.

who is doing well and seems to be happy in his little corner. As an added bonus I was setting up my hob refugium and out of the chato I bought at my LFS had a small peppermint shrimp popped out he is happily living in the tank under a rock. Other then that all is well can’t wait to get a fish or two anyone have an good ideas for what would be a good fish to start with. Would it be to much to get a pair of clowns. ???

Lots of cool small fish to choose from. I think I’d like fire fish and chromis, but I’ve never stocked a 25 gallon. I’m sure someone with some experience there will offer you some advice. Good luck!

I've kept a pair of clowns (and only a pair of clowns) in a 25 for years with success - a gladiator clown with a phantom clown
They're damselfish so they're quite hardy and they look great.

You should be ok with some clowns but they may make it difficult to add fish afterwards as they can be aggressive and territorial.

A 25g? I assume that's just a glass box with no predrilled overflow? or did you add a glass holes overflow? What are you running for a skimmer or equipment?

The reason I ask is that the amount of waste being exported by your equipment has a direct correlation to what kind of capacity you can have in the tank.

No the tank is not drilled to brake it down the tank is a 25g glass tank, with a aqua clear 50 filter. As well as a small protine skimmer and a hob refugium.
