MP40 wet side is on bottom of tank this morning.
As I'm recovering it the dry side falls off, and as I had it anchored by the sticky tab so it wouldn't hit the floor, it did an Indiana Jones whip swing straight into the top of the ATO container, at which point the sticky tab gave out and the dry side drops into the ATO.
So I fished it out, set it out to dry and reset the breakers.
And the ATO unit starts going nuts.
Granted, it has has been glitchy lately, but this morning it decided the stress of seeing the MP40 commit suicide was too much for it, and it gave in, and ended itself as well.
So, I manually top off and start ripping the ATO from my secondary tank (which I'll have to replace with a crappy float one I'ver got laying about somewhere).
During this procedure I noticed the skimmer didn't restart.
No idea whats up with that, wet parts are wet, dry parts are dry. Full cleaning, all looks good, it powers on, and 15-20 minutes later its dead.

In about 30 minutes I'm down an MP40, an ATO, and a skimmer.

I may just sit on the couch and surround myself with pillows for the rest of the day.

Sorry to hear your problems. I guess it goes to show this is the time to "shock" you pools, but not your aquariums. I am assuming the shorting blew out the ATO and skimmer. The couch should be OK unless you are using it to dry out the MP40.

So, outside work it is.

Here are my clothes after hosing them down.

Why? I forgot to release the pressure on our gas can last night and went to fill up the blower 30 minutes ago.
Of course the blowback covered me in gasoline head to toe.

Now I am doing outside stuff in work shoes...

Should have gone with the couch option.

Wow what a day you have had. Glad the gasoline didn't get in your eyes.

Go inside, turn on TV, and have a two beers. Well every time we celebrate Sponge's b'day, you'll remember this day

I feel ya Mark. It’ll turn around, always does. We had one of those days out on the bay fluke fishing this weekend.

Forgot bait
Ran aground in a spot I had almost 50 tracks over the chart plotter already (I’m really glad we took the skiff and not the big boat)
Only caught dog fish
radio wasn’t working
Forgot sunscreen, I’m currently a shade of purple

actually that’s all I’m gonna write, we’ll have better luck next week I’m sure...
