Opinion on Pump?........Please

Ok can anyone tell me if they have used the following pump - Dolphin 5600 / 4700 Amp Master External Pump. I am going to be upgrading to a 215g tank and would like to go with an external pump. I want the pump to be a quiet as possible. If anyone can suggest a pump for me that would be great.

not sure about the ones your refering too. But i have a 215 and i purchased the Blueline 70D. It is pretty quiet from everything i have read. I will find out as soon as i hook it up

I LOOOOVE my Velocity / Poseidon. It's dead silent. It does add a few degrees of heat, but it's worth it.

Most pumps themselves don't make that much noise, especially when compared to everything else. How you mout the pump is important. You don't want the aquarium stand, or anything else acting like a soundboard.

Usually mounting the pat on top of a soft mouse pad is enouf to keep it close to silent. However more extreme measures can be used.

I don't think you'll have a problem with the pump you selected.
