Ordering RODI unit

I'm going to order a 5 stage RODI unit this weekend and my only question is does it come with all the filters and media when you buy the whole system or is it just the system and I have to purchace the media and filters seperate?

Most RODI units come with the filters. If you want to tell people where your buying from, maybe people who have ordered from there as well could tell you, but if in your product description it's talking about 5micron sediment filters and such, my bet would be that it's included.

You should get one set of the filters you'll need with whatever you purchase. I did notice that AWI is offering a complete set of additional filters for $1.00 with your purchase. And, since they're a club sponsor you'll still get the 10 discount.

Here's a question for you. In your original post you mentioned you were buying a 5 stage system. Typically, a 5 stage system includes 3 prefilters, and that is usually 1 sediment filter and 2 carbon stages.

Unless you have chloramines in your water, or some other odd issue with VOC's, no more than one good carbon block is needed.

Why are you buying a system with two?

The reason is the system I have to buy has to work for my wife to use as well and the 4 stage says its not a DI. Heres the 2 set-ups that I'm talking about.

Hmm. We recommend to our customers that in general, a 4 stage consisting of sediment filter-> high quality carbon block -> RO->DI should be the default. Add additional prefilters (filters that treat the water before it reaches the membrane) only if you like to needlessly spend money on the original purchase and future refills, or if you have heavy sediment loads or VOC issues like chloramine.
