Mark, first remove any feather dusters or other worms you may have. Do the treatment per instructions. After a week, do a 20 - 25% water change and dose again. This second dose get's any eggs that have now hatched. As with many treatments, this stuff doesn't kill eggs.
Well the feather anchored under a main rock so couldn't remove it. The good news, the Flame is looking better. Can see its eye and the white is around the outer edge of eye. It stinks about the feather but read some people were ok dosing. Sounds bad but I will sacrifice a cheap worm for an expensive fish.
Have you tried Melafix? It is all natural, derived from the Melaleuca Tree. I've use it for years for my freshwater tanks and, more recently, for my marine tank when my Squirrel Fish had a big eye issue. Works wonders. I little goes a long way. Plus, it smells pretty, lol. My feather dusters didn't seem phased by it at all and my zoas loved it.

They didn't have that so exchanged for PraziPro. The Flame's eye looks much better after 2 days and my feather seems fine so far.
Will add a carbon sponge tomorrow nite and try to do a 5g or 10g water change. Then will dose a second time.
I'd wait a full week....giving any eggs time to hatch. Prazi doesn't work on eggs....only hatched flukes...and it could take up to a week for them to hatch. You can run carbon, but Prazi only lasts about 3 days and breaks down. So your second dose is a full second dose.
Paul, thanks. Just trying to follow directions. I am going on vacation next Wed and dont want dead fish. Skimmer is off 2 days. Will be online tomorrow nite.
