Please do not bother changing your password

Top researcher at Microsoft says the effort involved by users to change passwords constantly far outweigh the benefit...read the link above! =)

Although somehow I don't think my employer will bother. I've got to change my password logging into the network, then a separate password to get into my apps, not to mention the password for the voicemail, bla bla blah...

at least i can count on njrc not prompting me to change my password! ;D

I got over 100 accounts in the company I work for . Password changing day is a PITA!

I think if somebody wants to get in to an account bad enough they'll get in

We use a little encrypted file held by a program called Passafe. Then you only need remember one heavy duty password, the one for Passafe. It's better than the post-it under my stapler I used to use!

I work for the comapny as Phil and there is no way that will fly. They also have staff come around and check to see if people posted their password under the keyboard, stapler, etc. Usually done in the early morning or after work; I use to do this. Nasty email is sent to your manager if you get caught.

SOX and FDA insist on password changes. I love compliance policies!
