Peek-A-Boo Wrasse

I picked up a melanurus wrasse this past Saturday (thank you to ThatGuy). After acclimating the fish, and placing him in the tank, he immediately buried himself in the sand, with a plume of sand being thrown up. It’s now been two days. Anyone wish to venture when I’ll see this guy?

He should start to venture out soon. I had one that did the same thing in QT. he spent more time in the sand than he did swimming around the tank. Since my tank is BB, I had to find him a new home.

It can hide for a long time. I have had wrasses disappear for weeks and then just show up. I would just wait for a few days. He will be fine.

Day three and the melanurus has landed! He is out and swimming around the tank. Wooo Hooo Dance
