Peppermint shrimp or Berghia Nudibranch for Aiptasia?

I have had Aiptasia for some time now and been Chemically Controlling them (Aiptasia X and Kalk paste).. well so i thought :(.. Seeing more small ones popping up and some of the ones treated coming back.. I have one small peppermint now but i think he/she is eating left overs from fish feeding or don't have a taste for Aiptasia..I have been target feeding the fish but some still get past the fish ( maroon clown, blue devil damsel and two engineer gobies)I know both have there pro's and cons but im really up in the air what to get or next move( more peppermints or get Berghia Nudibranch).. any input/experience would be much appreciated
BTW.. I did read the "Eric Borneman's Aiptasia control recipe" thread but some of the Aiptasia are to close to corals to use sodium hydroxide and my tank is to small for Aiptasia eating fish(45gl with around 50lb LR)

sick and tired

If they are small I like peppermints. You can several of them and it really won't impact anything in your tank. I have never used the nudis so I have no advice there. My peppermints eat some fish food but they also keep the aiptasia down.

The pepes did a great job in my tank as well before they became food for the other shrimp...I like the "natural like" alternative better. Are coperbands not also used to control apistasia?

copperbands are very difficult to acclimate to dry foods. I believe blange and jimroth have butterflies long term. Copperbands will also eat any tube worms feather dusters. Good luck sid on whatever decide. pepps seem to be the cheapest method.

One other method would be to get some epoxy and cover them. Worked for me for the few I couldn't reach.

I did the epoxy at first after i hit them with a blow torch I still might epoxy some of the larger ones without the torch now due to the amount of corals i have now.. peps are cheaper but seem a hit or miss and have read you can get bad ones that will nibble on corals and other anemones but then again i don't know if the people posted it might of got camelbacks thinking they were true peps.. Another person said that got me thinking was "A anemone is a anemone".. If i remember right a pep got his BTA.. I was even looking a paul B,s zapper but i really don't think that would work for Aips due to the fact that any part left of the Aip will grow back and maybe into many tiny ones.. the only other thing i can think of using peps would be set up a 10 or 20 gl tank put a few peps in there and place one or two rocks in there at a time that way they won't have nothing else to eat apart from the aips (no fish food)

Put in like 5 pepps. Had some aps in my tank, i added 10 pepps and didnt seem like they were doing anything for a while. Months later i noticed there werent any aps left and i only catch a glimpse of the pepps after lights out. It might take a while but they should get them in check. My friend tried the nudi's they did nothin for his aps

5 for my size tank? Sorry if my last post i might seem to ramble but i only got 2 hrs sleep last night

Id try atleast 4. Figure one might just die, one might get eatin, one might not eat aps, and maybe 1 will. They aren't a guarentee but hopefully they'll help. Plus they're small so dont take up too much realestate and are such a small bio load on the tank. Also i like the idea about putting the rock in a tank with just the pepps and it. Force them to eat it. Can you get all the rock out to do this?

Im going to upgrade later to a 92 and really wanted to use this rock to seed the base rock.. so i was thinking take the rock out of the 45gl place in the 10/20gl with peps/ nudi once clean place in the 92

I've used the Berghias in the past. Worked like a charm. They are a little expensive (about $25 each). I wasn't able to recover them after the aiptasia were gone.
