Philly Splash

Did anyone else go to the Philly Splash Yesterday? The Sponges went and of course we saw some of the usual stuff but personally it was the best collection of spectacular corals that I have seen at a single event. Even better than Reefapalooza. I realize we are extreme newbies and have only been to maybe a dozen frag events and 30 or so shops that sell coral. But in my opinion the sellers really stepped up the game and brought the good stuff. It wasn’t as large as I expected. And I did not see any speakers. But some of the venders. (Many who I recognized from other events) just seemed to have a much higher percentage of really nice stuff. With out a doubt. I would go again next year. I have no idea if it was just luck or what the event draws. But I’m happy I went
And before you ask sorry but no I don’t have any pics. Super crowded and very dark space. Plus I was to busy staring at the eye candy.

i really like the New england frag farmers market. they had soo many vendors. you had all the usual suspects but you also had a lot of local hobbyists
selling fire. the cost was like $5 to get in and i think the vendor paid $20 for a table.

This event is hosted in a school and its a fund raiser for the school.

so you also have a few high school students selling rare corals that they grew from a frag.

i think the larger events like reefapalooza are to expensive for the small vendors and they don't really discount much because they know people will pay. the small shows like philly splash are better for us to buy and for the vendors to sell.

Silly me I asked the question with a super computer in my hand (phone). So I looked it up. I will be planning a trip to Connecticut in February. Thanks for the heads up.

New England frag farmers market is a cool stop. lots of vendors .And the spot were my daughter won the grand prize red sea tank,,,,,

Wow that was a nice event. Prices seemed nice too. I would have gotten the laser lemon zoas
