Phosban reactor

Can anyone tell me the pros vs cons of running a phosban reactor. Never used one before and just got one for free from my brother-inlaw. Any info will help. Thanks

I'm not sure there are any cons to running one. You can run Phosban or carbon in them. I am running three of them now (2 carbon, 1 Rowaphos)and love them.

I've always read that you should ramp up your use of phosban in the reactors. Something about the PH blah blah blah, but I don't remember all of the details.

We run one with phosban in it.

Phosban reactors are great as long as the flow is correct and you ane not over tumbling them to much. Many are now using them as GAC reactors. pH and Alk can be an issue if you get to carried away. Here is a read on GFO

I just saw a Phosban reactor today that looked a bit unusual. I didn't remember the maker name on it, but it included an integrated pump in the head of the cylinder with a inline dial on the output side.

I have had good luck using my small/slow canister filter for carbon and Phosban (Fluval 105)
