picture taking sugestions

hello everyone. i just got some new sps and want to take some pictures of the tank, but i am absolutly horriable at taking pictures. does anyone have any pointers to picture taking? im sure something will be said to Rich about the topdown boxes done.lol

Don't use the flash
Shoot at a right angle to the glass
Manually focus if you can
hold the camera really still
tell the fishes to smile

thanks guys for all the help. i have some OK pictures. now i just have to figure out how to add them to the profile.

you need to upload a small picture to your personal gallery here on NJRC, somewheres in the 150X150 range (so it's not too big). I find this the easiest to do, but you can link it to another URL, like photobucket.com, tinypic.com (or whatever).

Go into your profile (one of the top buttons), and then on the left, click on Forum profile information.

On the right side after that, you'll see a spot where You can pic an avatar, or you can add your own. If you have added your personalized pic to your gallery, the Url that you would cut and paste should look somewhat like this:

This would make a great topic for a future meeting. If we can just get someone really good a taking pictures to give a demonstration. Hmmm i wonder who we could get ;D
