POTM picture on the home page

Hello

The picture on the home page has not changed since Aug 2012.

We say that the winner picture will be posted on the home page for the "current" month.

Again, it is not about me winning the POTM, the issue is, motivation. Why would anyone try for POTM if the picture does not change each month (forget 6 months) to say the least?

Seriously, we need to step up.

P.S ==> I am not trying to criticize anyone here. I try really hard to get people motivated in as many different ways as I can decipher to get more participation.

We at least need to do, what we say, we will be doing.

I think its just a general lack of interest by those charged with the up keep. The homepage is still has blank boxes scrolling in the "past meeting" section. That is an issue that has been brought up several times.

The home page is very depressing. It bothers me when I click on home instead of the forums tab.

I agree. Every once in a while I check it only to find its still all the same.

Yes. it is still the same. I was told that this was one persons responsibility to fix it. Well all I can do is try and make the changes by running for the house . I agree, we need to make changes to the homepage also. This should be one of the priorities of the new board in my opinion.

I agree that I think the home page should be updated with great frequency.


But don’t get your panties in a wad, and just minimize the stuff that bothers you.

Here’s what I’m looking at so I don’t have to see the blue box and the outdated meeting info (just minimize it!):

Fixing the front page will be a high priority for me for the next term. I don't know exactly why some of you are getting a blue placeholder for the images, but I intend to figure it out.

In the meantime, for those of us that can actually see the pictures on the home page... I need some pics from the recent meetings so that I can update that section. I have a few on my camera from the Jan. meeting, so if anyone has any from Darrens meeting, please send them to me via PM and I'll update that part.

I'm also currently researching alternative slideshow options that we can use (to hopefully correct the issues) so if anyone knows of any vBulletin / php modules that work well for this sort of thing... I'd be happy to look into suggestions.
