Power Outages

So does anyone else have the great pleasure of firing up your generator what feels like once a month because the local utility can't keep the power on? Lived in eight states, never seen anything like it. Portable generator, manual transfer switch and breaker box best investment I think I ever made. Only regret is not coughing up the extra $3,000 for the fully automated system.

Power is pretty steady around here but storm, accident. And time will take out power eventually. It’s not if. It’s when. I really neeeeed a generator. Lights flickered a few times last night

My family has a fully automated transfer switch to a 20kw - it cycled like 3 times last night. On for 2 minutes than off as the power kept going in and out.

It threw my Apex all out of wack and the one that's on a WiFi access point never renewed so I was frantic this morning. I learned recently though : if it's not connected to fusion it'll still function... I think

I work in Jackson, and we power out there at the drop of a hat.
I live in Brick, apparently power outs are rare, but, saying that, I did have one a few weeks back.

I bought one of these and set it up earlier today...

It can run a tunze 6040 wavemaker and an airpump for 5-6 hours in case of emergency.

A small generator is in the works for the near future.

I have the standby generator but I'll soon be investing in small ups for each Apex system and router as I don't want Apex to disconnect period

I had a fire at my have several years ago and after that, I learned that a standby generator and some battery-operated air pumps are a good investment at least for a quick fix, now with a lot of equipment being dc, you can get some battery backups to keep as well, in my case I am thinking to get some for my 2 mp10s.
