Is anyone using this skimmer and how do you hook it up?

I need to upgrade and it has to be outside of sump for a 150 gal. tank
my friend bought a used bullet 1 with the gate valve mod, and he never got it to work right. i had a precision marine hang on skimmer and i had problems with it constantly. im a bit nervous about the pm kalk reactor im getting but the concept seems simple. save yourself the trouble and sell it.
I haven't purchased anything yet just asking advise
how about mr2 can I hook this up farther from the tank or is that stupid. (just looking for more room)
Interesting concept, hooking a skimmer up remotely. Is there any way to make the sump remote? Put the sump where the skimmer is going and feed to the tank/drank from the tank to the sump? If you're going to go through the hassle of the to-from thing you may as well move the whole sump and give yourself more flexibility overall? Then your skimmer would be close to the sump. I'm not even sure why that's important to me, except that "that's the way it is always done".
Phyl I have a crawl space I would love to move everything to a basement if I had one thats where I would set it from the start. I may be able to squeek it next to sump.
