Question about a fish for a 120

Is it possible I can put a blue throat trigger in a 120 gallon mixed reef? Anyone else have any type of trigger I’m their reef tank?

I think I may get one if I can find one . They seem to be the only somewhat reef safe trigger and they are awesome fish. They have personalities.

I had blue throat trigger for a few years in a mixed reef never had any problems but they tend to be a shy fish.

From what I saw is once they are in the tank you can’t add shrimp but if there are shrimp already in tank you have a better chance. I guess every fish is different but I am getting a small one so I think I will be ok

Those non reef safe fish will eventually eat inverts, even if they were in the tank previously. I had a fanworm live for 3-4 months before my harlequin tusk decided it was the right time to eat it.

Grrr, so my guy picked up a blue throat for me and I can’t pick it up because I have Covid. Now I have to wait at least 10 days to get this guy. I’m pissed I really can’t wait to put this guy in my tank.

Send someone to get it for you. Or your friend can't leave it at your front door?
