quick duncan question

i have a single head of duncan from mr coral and i have it under 400Watt MH. how Do they make new heads? I had it stuck in a hole but when i moved it i noticed what looks like another head on the bottom. needless to say imconfused.

how do they make new heads? they simply grow them. if you are asking how to make them grow faster, feed it meaty foods.

sorry i should have been more clear. do they grow heads on their butt basically? imagine a single head of duncan and looking at its mouth there is a small duncan looking thing growing on the opposite side

Duncans usually sprout new heads from the sides of the current head.

new heads sprout off the meaty part of their base, once they a new baby head begins to sprout many others will follow, feed meaty foods, they love to eat, if you have shrimp in your tank they will learn to steal the food from the duncans, feeding is not necessary for them to leave but they will multiply faster if you do.

I have been giving my duncans pellets but they dont seam to be multiplying at all i feed them every other day and they definately eat the pellets. Should I be feeding them something else?

I wait until my powerheads turn off for the night and feed mine krill once or twice a month they have multiplied like crazy. plus i keep them at the bottom in a shaded area
