Quick RODI question.

Never had a RODI unit. I recently purchased this

And I'm just wondering judging by the picture, if water comes from the left and exits on the right , is the order in which they have their initial 3 media correct?

Price. $350 vs $150. My plan is to eventually replace the media when the time comes, with better media from BRS.

What's the micron count on the cartridges?

If you are looking at the picture, the first one on the left says "5 Micron Hydronix, SDC-25-1005." The middle one simply says "5 MIC" . The final one has no label.

you may want to ditch the cartridges sooner than later as the higher the micron count, the more impurities they'll let in. I did the same when i 1st got my RODI unit, just went and got the BRS stuff....If you wait till black Friday, you'll get a discount on them

So the amazon unit is equal to the BRS unit except for the cartridges? Will the BRS cartridges fit the amazon units? Sorry for crashing your thread! I am tired of buying 25 gallons of water from the LFS in Eatontown that has algea floating in the water.

here is the unit that i have Amazon.com : LiquaGen - 6 Stage Heavy Duty - 0 PPM Reverse Osmosis/Deionization Aquarium Reef Water Filter System, 150 GPD : Pet Supplies and i got it from amazon back when it was on sale....if im right i paid something like $120.00 for it. I just swapped out the cartridges from BRS as they are universal @diana a

they will, i buy mine from BRS for my non-BRS unit
