Raising clownfish

So I have had a pair of clowns for a few years now and the have just started to spawn, they are laying eggs every other week. Of course within a few days they are live food for my tank I noticed today that they are on a rock that is quite easy to access. So if anyone is interested in trying to raise them shoot me a PM . You can see all the eggs on the rock right in between the two clowns in the pic...

why don't you try mike? taking care of clownfish fry will make you more than prepared down the road for a seahorse set up.

First get the rotifers....then use otohime and the set up is really easy. You just need to keep up with the water changes and some ammonia badges will help to make sure you don't lose too many fry during meta.

I was thinking about trying just don't have the time right now to put into it so I figured I would see if someone else wanted to try it out

Location

Judging by the location of the eggs your going to have to manually collect the fry once they hatch.

Do you know exactly how many days between hatches they going? To collect enough fry to make it worth while you need to get it down to the hatch night and close to the the hour when they go.

It could be 10 - 14 days.

If you can train the pair to lay eggs on a tile you can just extract the tile right before they hatch and put a new tile in.

It becomes a very complex process if you start to raise multiple clutches having to seperate the fry into different tanks based on size.

Its a testament to good husbandry, and you should be proud.
