raising salinity?

I saw the suggested water parameters thread. My current readings are Ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 20 ppm(just set up my fuge) ph 8.2 Salinity 1.024 alk 7.5 dkh. I noticed that the salinity is suggested to be at 1.026. should i slowly raise the salinity through small water changes or do fewer larger changes every week? my tank currently has some digi's, green slimer, watermelon chalice, another chalice, 2 tang's, 2 clowns, 2 chromis, 3 anthias, and a lawn mower blenny

Let me make this clearer. Instead of toping off with RO/DI water, just add a little salt to it.

However it is done - take your time. The key for most of our inhabitants is nice and slow transition, not wild fluctuations. I'd rather be at 1.024 then to jump to say 1.028 by accident tomorrow. Make sure you are measuring the salinity with a refractometer (sorry if that is obvious). It would be awful if your tank is really 1.026 but measured at 1.024 with a swing arm and then you started raising salinity.

Your salinity is ok where it is, so I wouldn't stress about having to move it higher. Either through evap (replacing evap with salted water) or by making your change water 1.026 and letting it get there slowly that way.
