RBTA and GBTA in the same tank

Is t OK to put a RBTA and a GBTA in the same tank? I have the RBTA in a 20 tall with a 130 watt PC light (10,000k and actinic) and a 15x15x4.5 inch hob fuge, with a built in venturi skimmer, a deep sand bed and a mix of chateo and caulerpa. I have read the RBTA needs a footprint of 12 in. by 12 in. to roam. Do you guys think I could safely put a GBTA on te other side of the tank?

They will def be fine together but in a 20 gallon you have to worry about them outgrowing the space.

They will stings and kill any corals you may have with they if they touch.

Thanks guys. I am going to move them to a 33 long eventually. I have a juvie V Tail Grouper and a Snowflake Eel in that tank now, until I get my 150 cycled, thats gonna be an aggressive tank. What are your thoughts on keeping 2 pairs of Clownfish in a 33 long?

you *may* have problem, it all depends on your luck/fate...

the last time i did that... (well...) they are now one pair left...!

Be careful with the snowflake, ours was VERY interested in trying to eat my clowns while they slept... and he was only about 14" at the time. How have you done with the snowflake re-arranging the rock work? Mine moved the rock our sebae anenome was on and really made the anenome unhappy... at which point it moved to a new piece of rock.

I am going to move the grouper and the eel to the 150, that's going to be an aggressive tank. I was thinking of putting 2 BTA's, one either side of the 33. At almost 4 feet apart, I was thinking I might be able to get away 2 pairs of percs.

Oh, and I used huge rocks in the tank, the smallest is the size of a football. I'm hoping the eel cant move them.

I had a RBTA that was 10" and a GLTA that was 7" in the same 54G for about 7 months - until the LTA decided to fight the powerhead.

IF you can keep two different species in the same tank, you should not have a problem keeping two BTA in the same tank. My only concern would be the size of the anemones - they will hit both sides of the glass sooner or later in your tank.

I had 4 perc 2 black 2 orange in a 55 along with a carpet anme and a bubble tip,they were fine when the anme's were on each end of the tank,but when one of the anem's "wondered" is when the clowns started to get "nippy" towards each other,gd luck with yrs :)
