RBTA help

From the Site of your sand it looks like you dont have enough flow in the tank or you have extra nutrients. You need to cut back lighting or feeding and improve the flow in the tank.

Also how old is this tank and where did u get the RBTA? Was it from a store or fellow reefer.

If it were me, I'd try to entice it with a small piece of silverside, or whatever fish food you might have in your freezer. Just thaw a little tiny piece out and present it with your fingers or favorite utensil.

Looks awful bright. What kind of lighting do you have? What kind of lighting was it under? You may have changed the lighting enough to shock it. If your lighting is brighter than what the store had you may consider reducing the photo period or shading the anemone until it gets settled in more.

Good luck with it!

i got it from "the fish tank" on RT46, i think its in saddlebrook, they still had some more. the nem was under 250w MH at the store , the same as my tank. and the brown sand comes and goes, i have tried adding alot of flow but it did not prevent it, increasing flow worked well when the sand was getting red slime though

I have noticed that nems coming from stores need perfect water condition. I have had GBTA and RBTA go from PC to MH and be fine. Store bought specimins go through hell.

All of my nems are aquaculture from splits.. Also im affraid to ask how much u payed.

Dont touch it leave it alone. Feeding a stressed nem will only stress it out more. Give it some time.

Just because the bulbs are rated the same wattage and color, it doesn't really mean that they are truly the same. Check all those discussions on the web about which lights are the best. The full spectrum can be very different specially if the bulbs are from different vendors or different age. Also, if the anemone was new arrival to the store, you might have seen the "residual" health and strength from its original environment, and what it is now exhibiting in your tank is cumulative stress from all those changes of environment (both store and yours) and shipping.

i guess im more wondering if it will be ok being at the bottom corner of my tank, it gets light, but im sure its not as intense light as it would be in other places. will it regain its color?
