since I cant afford vortech, I am looking at a substitute: red sea wavemaster pro. my question is which power heads to use with it that would work nicely. I would appreciate any kind of feedback of users of wavemaster pro.
Hi, I am using Maxijet with mine. But you can use what ever you like. The Wavemaster Pro is suitable for powerheads/pumps up
to a maximum total of 720 W, 110 V units (680 W, 220 V units),
including a main pump of up to 360 W, 110 V units (350 W, 220
V units).
The Red Sea is a slow start when turning on and off the power heads.

do not use the korila 4 for they will make an annoying sound when first starting up. I had the model three and i had to remove the wavemaker. But to my suprise i purchased the model 5 and they do not make any noise. Must be because of there big size.
hm... tough call... magnum would be probably to big for 72g. i will go with maxi jet and may upgrade. i will put all 4 of them in the tank and we will see.
