Rebuild Complete - Need Corals Now

Hi, my name is Mark. I have been in the hobby for just about 20 years. Although I love the hobby sometimes it can be a real pain in the neck. About a year ago something happened (very bad) to the supply water coming into my apartment which in turn destroying RO filters almost on a weekly basis. Obviously this got very expensive, very quickly and was not sustainable. I tried several different methods to clean up the water with little success. In the end I got frustrated and just let the tank go (as seen in the picture). Well I finally got tired of looking at that mess so I completed a major overhaul on it (see picture). What was once a thriving tank, is now bare. :( With that being said, some things actually survived even though I literally did not do a water change in over 7 months.

I am a founding member of the Southern Maryland Marine Aquarium Society (SMMAS), but now I live in Delaware and they do not have a club that I have been able to find. Then I remembered duh... the New Jersey Reef Club. I once attended a meeting (7 or 8 years ago), where I really enjoyed myself.

Now to the reason for this post. I need corals now. When I set this tank up I wanted to go high end, so I got all of my stuff from Dr. Mac. However now I am a little gun shy as I am not completely convinced I have corrected my water quality issue. What I am looking for is inexpensive or free frags of just about anything. Like I said I live in Wilmington DE, and commute to Moorestown NJ everyday. So any reefers close by that need to weed anything out?? Let me know what you got please..

Wow sorry to hear about your water situation. But glad your giving it another go. Truly wish you the best of luck. You should share more pics of you old tank. Sounds amazing.

I have frags if you’re in the Little Egg Harbor area.

sucks when a tank goes down, but the bright side is the journey through the build is the best part!

good luck with the rebuild!!
