Recommendations for collision repair

Long story short some ***hole hit me and wrecked the passenger side of the car I bought a month ago. First accident so I'm not experienced with any type of repairs to this scale, maybe someone here is.

I'm in south Jersey, cherry hill to be exact, I can drive the car but not far and not too well.
Car is an Infiniti g35 coupe.
Needs front and rear quarter panels, rear bumper, whole new passenger door, side skirt, whole car needs to be painted to blend (part I'm most concerned about) and I need a new set of rims (insurance will take care of this hopefully since they are 4000$ aftermarket rims lol)

Any experience even where not to go is appreciated.

Thank you.

Elmers Auto Body (I think it's in Mt. Ephraim or Oaklyn) - they are great. They'll take care of everything. I had them do my old Acura and it was a full front clip, engine mounts, air bags, etc.... look as good as new (even detailed the interior) when I got it back

You could take it to Steve's Autobody. They're right on the pike in turnersville. Been there 25+yrs. They do good work.

Sorry i'm up in edison so not too sure where to go in cherry hill. I thought your list of shops though would be dictated by insurance? Like don't you have to verify with the shops suggested above that they accept your car insurance? Am i wrong?

I hate to say this but drivers in NJ can be a bit distracted. I'm from NY so I understand NYC cab driver methodology (ignore all white lines, and rush thru yellow lights) so when I moved to NJ I thought it would be better - but you still find bad apples. The worst are those who willfully drive at the speed limit in the left land and refuse to move or pass the middle lane traffic.

The way NJ works is any Liscenced Body Shop can fix your car. All insurance companies can do is suggest, they can not force you to any specific shop. If you have a shop in mind just take your car there, drop it off, tell the insurance company where it is, get a rental, and pay your deductable(if you have one) Thats about it. All NJ body shops have to guarantee their work for the life of the car(ie paint peeling, bodywork chipping). :)

I'm an insurance adjuster in NJ for automobile claims. What are the facts of loss? What happen?

As far as your rims who is your insurance provider? I know my company's auto policy clearly states we will only restore to factory condition. Adding rims to a vehicle does not add value necessarily (only perceived value to the owner of teh vehicle typically). It depends on your policy, but there should be a section stating "aftermarket/non-factory items". Most policies will cover up to approximately $1,000 on the default policy. Unless you purchased additional coverages say for an aftermarket sound system or to insure the rims' additional costs then they will only cover up to your standard policy limits.

If you'd like pm me your insurance company and the facts of loss in the accident and I can assist you if you'd like.

Also your insurance company should have "network or preferred shops" the benefit to you being a lifetime guarantee on the repair for as long as you own or lease the vehicle.

This is correct in NJ all insurance companies MUST preserve choice. If the company does not preserve choice you can file a complaint against them. As far as just dropping off the car at the shop make sure the shop will work with the company. There are a few body shops in North NJ who charge a labor rate of around $65 - $80 an hour when the average for insurance companies is $45-$48 depending. If the shop and insurance can't come to an agreed price then there could be issues.
