Red Sea Berlin Protein skimmer??

Just wondering if anyone here has this skimmer and how efficient is it??

I've had one, and I'd rate it as fair, but you can do a lot better. It's one of the lower priced skimmers, and it will work, but I recommend you get something a lot better. Yes, it will be more expensive, but you'll be glad you did.

Most of the failings of the Red Sea skimmer revolve around it being difficult to clean, and about it being made of cheep plastic, which can easily break, compared to acrylic plastic.

i have one that works if you continually mess with it. it would probably work alot better if it had a needle wheel instead of a venturi.

i had one in use on my old 55g FOWLR, it did the job, but certainly not as well a lot of the skimmers available today.

I have a HOB - its in storage now. I wasn't very happy wiht it. the bubbles never seemed to make it all the way up the tube.

if you want to try it out, you're welcome borrow it. I don't have a pump for it - so you'll need that.
