thinking if I should get it, but asking myself do I really need it. hmmmmm. anyone else thinking about it? like the saying goes, if it ain't broke, then don't fix it. but I'm a sucker for new tech!! hahahaha. decisions decisions
I agree, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Tell that to my wife all the time even about going to the Dr.thinking if I should get it, but asking myself do I really need it. hmmmmm. anyone else thinking about it? like the saying goes, if it ain't broke, then don't fix it. but I'm a sucker for new tech!! hahahaha. decisions decisions
I never used filter socks because they were a pain to clean and change out on a regular basis. so I wonder how much clearer and healthier my tank would be with a reefmat.very tempted. But, I will wait and see how it goes first. Maybe a Christmas present.
This^.So glad I tossed the filter socks and went with a filter cup. Throw some floss in and every few days replace; very easy to manage and no sock cleaning.
What filter cup are you using? So glad I tossed the filter socks and went with a filter cup. Throw some floss in and every few days replace; very easy to manage and no sock cleaning.
My sump has (3) 4" filter sock holders. I use BRS filter socks and Red Sea media cups. When all my socks are dirty I will use the media cups. What I observed with my sump and the Red Sea media cups:What filter cup are you using?
I have been looking into this as well. One thing I don’t like about the reefer sump is that it’s a bit of a pain to get socks in and out. Just wondering if it’s worth the $$$.
I don't know the brand as the sump came with two 3" cups. or is it a 4" cup. What filter cup are you using?
