I wanted to try this stuff out, and i kno i should probably buy the small bottle conisdering how small my tank is but 1l is like 4x at much for just double to cost. so my q? is how long does this last in the fridge?

I've been using it and just ordered another bottle yesterday.
DIrections state its good for 1 year in fridge after opening.

After a huge algae bloom and phosphates through the roof I stopped using reef roids- my leathers wouldn't take it, too big- was back and forth with either reef Energy or Benereef- went with Benereef- my leathers love it- time will tell whether it was the best choice- keep us posted on how you make out with Reef Energy- Benereef is dry- no refrigeration- the 1.4 ounce is enough for 1,200 gal- guess it will last some time lol

will do it might be a minute before I start though. I removed the biggest rock and it's going through a mini cycle. had to remove it though no choice. I also have phyto to try out too but I'm ordering 500ml to give it a shot.

just wanted to update this. I've been feeding miricle grow and bubbling since I brought them in.

not really, but thats probably because im running a big bubbler on it. so probably any smell is dissipated by now. but my understanding has always been that dead algae turns white, brown or grey. this stuff was outside for 6+ months, but it was in saltwater, in clear bottles that the sun could reach and many of those months have been winter or fall with cold evenings. so im not surprised that it preserved one out of two bottles. incidentally, the bottle that is green was my original botle and always had 2 or 3x the amount of phytoplankton as the one which turned white.

i will be 100% convinced when (if) it turns a dark green. that usually takes about a week or so. i run them with 24hr light, feeding a couple of ml every 2 or 3 days

I haven't added a thing to the bottle of the left and it has gone from white to green..

bottle on the right had a couple ml of miracle grow added
