Reef epoxy

I used a bit of 2 part reef epoxy eariler today and since then Everytime I turn the skimmer back on even on lowest setting it overflows very fast. How long does it take till the effects of the epoxy wear off. Thanks in advance

Thanks guys. I've used it the past in tiny amounts to no effect but yesterday I used a bit more and it was going crazy all day. I finally shut down the skimmer for over night so we will see.

You are not alone. Its happened to me every time used the stuff. I have to keep my skimmer off for 8 hrs before it gets back to normal. I am not running carbon yet. Tank is new. I'll probably pick up a reactor next week from CC.

What skimmers do you guys have that's having this issue? Is this for epoxy for seal baffles and glass or to hold rocks together?

Im running a BM Nac 3.5. The epoxy is the 2 part that you knead together. I use it for coral placement and rock work. I used a pretty good amount in my 20H probably the same size as a small superball. Ive used it in small amount in my 44gal with no effect. Skimmer seemed to be fine this morning so the effect has worn off.

I have a MRC model (beckett type) - it does the same thing. heck mine cuts out as soon as I feed pe mysis. As long as it comes back on as usual - it's fine.
