I am selling my work horse skimmer that has served me extremely well for 3.5 years.

Below are some answers and need to know stuff :-

Why am I selling it?

My water volume is no longer what it used to be. I do not do water changes any more or use my frag tank. With around 550 Gallon total volume I am not doing justice to this monster. It is rated for 800 - 1000 Gallon water volume. Tough decision to make but it might serve someone else better than me at this time.

What you need to know

This is not a regular skimmer. It has a foot print or 22 X 16 inches. So it will not fit in most sumps, you need a custom sump.
It is 37.5 inches tall, which means it will not fit in most stands. This is still sold by Reef Octopus.
You can read about more details http://www.coralvue.com/reef-octopus-sro-xp-8000int-super-reef-protein-skimmer

What is included

The skimmer and a newer pump that was used for 3 months only. The pump alone is $379 new.
I bought a backup pump when I bought the skimmer. So the newer pump is included in the sale.

I am looking to get $750. Pickup only. No shipping.
Price is very firm. If it does not sell, I will keep it. You never know for sure in this hobby :D

P.S => Bigger the better is not always true for a skimmer. A properly sized skimmer will beat any over sized skimmer. If your total water volume is less than 600 Gallons, I would not suggest you buy this skimmer.

Pictures will be up soon.

Thanks for looking.
