We have that ebay one in the first post. I like it. Works fine (as far as I know, lol, but then again I thought that my hydrometer worked fine too, lol).

I Might switch my gift idea to that e-bay one as well. It's a bit cheaper and the one I want is out of stock! :(
 
My sister in law works for a company that sells laboratory equipment. I asked her if she could get us a deal on these and she said she would find out. I'll let you know what she tells me. Typically, she can get things at cost plust 10%. If it's a good deal, I'll ask her to get us some if anyone's interested.
 
Following up on my previeous post. My sister in law says that she can get this for $55 from her company. It's a little more expensive than the ones in the links above, but there's no shipping. I don't know how it compares, but these are laboratory grade instruments. Here's a link:
