I still have the stand for the tank- worth the trip?- still have some plants left too, and a bucket of aragonite, and I'm interested in some of your coral frags- might help make the trip worthwhileToday dug out the stand I had put it together and find out the tank is bigger than the stand.
Tanks is supposed to be 29g which my stand is for. Now have to decide what I want to do. Get a another stand but can't find anything reasonable or go with the tank I picked up from Eric without the AIO built in. any suggestions and no I don't feel like building another stand wood is to expensive....LOL
Tank measures 36L x 20H x 12.5 W
Current stand is 30.5L x 12.5W
Any suggestions???
I thought of that but never did with that much hanging off.Put a piece of plywood on top to match the tank
I considered that but to short. Seems like your suggestion of plywood is the answer.Since you don't want to make the trip for the stand, check the width of both tanks, if the same a $10 tube of silicone and a razor blade you can transfer the in tank sump, and use your metal stand- easier than building a new stand with lumber
The plywood/wood will be fine ( I didn't recommend it ) the original cabinet/stand would be better though- I have no use for itI considered that but to short. Seems like your suggestion of plywood is the answer.
I have a piece of solid wood I can cut to size and good to go.
Problem is the tank will slide in next to my desk so cannot open the doors. Why I was using his open stand. The plywood/wood will be fine ( I didn't recommend it ) the original cabinet/stand would be better though- I have no use for it
Won't fit in the corner.Sell the 29 gallon and the stand then use the profit to go buy a Red Sea Reefer 525
Won't fit in the corner.
