Replacing RO/DI filters

Hey gang I was trying to replace the membranes in my RO/Di unit because its about that time. But im having the hardest time getting these bad boys opened.Im using the filter wrench that came with it but its like theyre welded shut.Anyone have any tips they could lend me?

sorry, no help for the opening... some time i end up with laythem flat on the floor side way, then trying to open them that way...

for the other matter, you should use a TDS meter to test the output to know is it time to change or not... not just guess (about time...)


good luck on opening them... they are a pain sometime...

Thanks for the feedback. Turned out i needed a little more elbow grease.Go figure
