riccordia on the loose

One of my favorite riccordia mushroom frags decided to let go of its mount and is now moving around the tank to wherever the current or hermits want to take it. What is the best way to remount it without killing it?. Can I superglue it to a rock?

If you can place it in a container with some rubble it will re-attach. Its difficult to glue it to the rock unless its attached to some type of rubble already, then you can glue the rubble. It will most likely fall off again if you try to glue just the tissue.

Sometimes discosomas and ricordea will split if the rubber bands are to tight. The Tupperware with rubble will work but mine used to collect a lot detritus in them. I had the best luck with plastic netting loosely stretched over the mushroom and a rock. I've used the plastic netting from the oranges or baby bell cheese from the grocery store.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions. So far it seems to have settled in a spot near a rock and has not moved (or been moved) in a few days. I figure as long as it sits there, it will start to stick to whatever is under it and I can pick it up in another week or so and glue it where I want it.

If it starts drifting around more, I will try to rubble idea.
