RO Booster Pump Connections

I've been running my RO booster pump all wrong from the time I set it up. I run my booster though all filters. If any of you visit R2R, you are most likely aware of AZDesertRat, who is an expert on RO/DI systems. He posted the correct way to hook up the booster pump. I'm reconnecting my tubing first thing tomorrow.

if you have a di resin chamber in addition to sediment and carbon you put the booster pump after the di resin but before the Ro membrane?

Pete, I'm not sure if I'm following your verbage....to be clear, the order should be:

Raw Water --> Sediment Filter -->Carbon Block(s) -->BOOSTER PUMP --> RO Membrane --> DI Resin --> Clean Water

My pump has its own sediment filter and has been working perfectly for years in a different position. I think the point of this configuration is to avoid sediment entering the pump, which I can understand.

I would also think that there is no need to pressurize water in the sediment filters which could take away some of the pressure going to the RO membrane, I think I will change my configuration also, Thanks Paul
