My RO/DI unit is in my unheated garage and I want to avoid it freezing. Is there a low voltage tape or wrap I can install around it? In the past I put a spot light about 8 inches away from the unit but I'm looking for a better solution. Thanks in advance.

Just a thought ... What is the deal with the heated extension cords , like the ones they have for outside gutters ? Will that work if wrapped around the can like a snake? Also how about a small pump , moving water should not freeze.

Your milage may vary with this system since theree are small hoses and pipes that could freeze besides the main unit.

Its most likey cheaper and less time consuming to just mount it somewhere else in the house where it wont freeze. You could still run the feed end to the garage and if it were to freeze it wouldnt matter its just a cheap plastic hose away.

You could put an insulated enclosure around it along with a low output heat source. May be easier to just make something and line it with fiberglass.
