hey all. does anyone use a booster pump for their RODI? does it help? does it really save water? is it worth it? I'm looking at the Aquatic Life booster pump, but not sure yet if it's worth it. opinions?

I run a Aquatic Life booster pump. I dont know if it saves water but it definitely helps make water faster. It probably doubled my water output.

Same here. It makes the ro filter much more efficient. What is your psi without it? Mine is 45 and brings it up to 105.

Can you slow down a booster pump? Mu psi without one is about 40, and i will like to install a booster pump but just raise the psi to let said 70psi, can i do that?

I run a booster pump as well, took me from 43 psi. To 102. I dialed mine back to 80psi. Because the fittings say do not exceed 90 psi. I did run it at 100 psi for a few days. But perhaps worried about nothing. But was constantly thinking about it so dialed it down. I did not measure the waste differential but my output is stellar now when it was really poor before. And my TDS did not increase at all. It has been zero for months My TDS meter measures thee stages. And my second stage is now showing 7 (final out put reads a 1 for about a minute but I flush that and goes down to 0. I now have replacements filters carbon and DI resin. And will be changing the filters. Very soon. For those who care. My month use is...120 to 160 gallons of water changes on one tank. A combined 100 gallons on other tanks. Approximately 45 gallons of top and an estimated additional 50 gallons for cleaning. Dipping, testing and miscellaneous. These filters have been in use for 7 months. And are a BRS 7 stage 150 gallon unit

I’m using an aquatic life smart booster on a 90gpd spectrapure rodi. Runs close to 100psi. One of the advantages of it is that it does an auto flush every time I turn it on to start making water.
