Scaping

I tip my hat to those who have the vision of what their tank will look like down the road and can glue their rocks together and mount the corals where they will live comfortably. I can do that with landscaping, but not in a reef tank- can't tell you how many times I've re-scaped my tank for either fish ( took a while for the jawfish to decide where it wanted to call home) and corals- I've moved some multiple times- just re-scaped one area lost the wall- now more of a hill-lost a cave- now a cavern- opened up a bit more of the sand area-lost a couple of shrooms and zoas in the move- may have to turn on the blues and take it down piece by piece to find them- keeps me busy anyway lol

Sometimes, it's enough to just have a general rough draft of it on paper..
My method is to buy a ton of dry-rock and smash them into pieces and picking out the pieces that would be unique or fit well with the model.

Don't worry, I changed my scapr a few times before keeping it. I even made a few small changes after a year.

Hoping that the 4rth time is a charm- I'm not rescaping the whole tank, just one section- first time it looked great, got rid of the wall and it stepped back nicely, sitting back admiring my work I noticed a rock with a couple of orange shrooms was missing, so I took it apart and that rock was on the bottom of the pile, second attempt ended looking like the original wall, #3 was pretty good but I noticed that my fish couldn't swim through some of the spaces ( dead ends), hoping this will be the last- for now

I don’t glue anything down. I am always moving this around.
