SCH 40 Reducing Coupler

Anyone know where I can get SCH 40 Reducing Couplers? I need 1.5" - 1" and 1" - 3/4". I checked Lowes but they don't have any. I also checked bulkreefsupply.com but they only carry SCH 80, can you use SCH 80 with SCH 40 plumbing?

Not that this helps you much, but I believe I bought a couple of those at my local Lowes in Lumberton(Mt Holly) If you didn't ask I would or go to another store. Sometimes they can be hard to find in all of those little boxes. I was there one day for an hour and a half to find all of the pieces that I needed.

A good substitute for the reducing couplers is reducing bushings. Lowes and HD always have them (they seem to be the generally accepted replacement to the couplers). I'm not sure of your application and if you can use them or not, though.

Reiterating what John posted, a regular coupling with a reducing bushing is generally the way it's done.
