Well my eel took the plunge again and didn't make it this time so I'm nixing eels in general. I figured I'd switch it to a Seahorse tank with some fancy algea or something along those lines but I'm just worried about the 2 Chocolate Chip Stars I have. Will they be okay together or will the stars just keep demolishing my tank.

panmanmatt is the resident sea horse guru on this board - i'm sure he will chime in. I highly doubt sea stars will eat sea horses. The problem with keeping SH in general are:

They are slow eaters
They really should be kept in a species only tank
They typically prefer cooler temps than what we are used to with reef tanks.

please do yourself a favor and save a lot of pain/heartache and if you do end up going down the sea horse path - get captive bred only. Although more expensive the survival rate is far far better.

I've had seahorses in the past and kept them successfully with a dragonet. The LFS has about 5 tank raised babies that he's had for a little while now.

My main concern is if I put some algeas in there the choc will just mow them over. I don't have anything for them to hang onto outside of the backs of the stars.

just hit petco and pick up some plastic plants. Ugly but effective. or you could go the (gasp) fake corals route.

Just grab a couple dried sea fans and that will give them something to hitch to,
or theres a guy on ebay that sells live sea fans fairly cheap
