Second tank build ! 34 gallon frag tank

Update!

I have added a small piece of silicone tubing instead of hard plumb and it's as quiet as seal team 6 moving in on the compound. Additionally I added one of my moms rubber hot plate pads. I think this is okay?

I may have gotten sloppy that it's not painted black... however, I am happy it's done and quiet

Are you talking about the water going into the baffles? You could try n raise the mesh sponge up a bit

Yeah - it's the water falling from baffle to the sponge. Could I add another one of sorts or ?

There isn't much flow in this chamber but it could also be dust from them sanding the kitchen floors over the past week.

Well it's the frag tank cycling so I hand skimmed as much as I could.

Hopefully the rest will cycle through the filter sock and I'll clean it tomorrow

I have not made an update on this tale in a while!

The tank is doing great... minus the crazy brown diatom - any tips to control? Frags are growing & looking FAT.

Nitrates are semi low in this tank, however, I don't wanna add more fish. Need to think of ways to get it up. Yeah I am aware the torch coral isn't extended... something I am trying to figure out right now as it was fully extended last night.
