Shrimp Trap

What would make a good shrimp trap? I have 3 peppermint shrimp in my DT that are really starting to annoy me because anytime I direct feed a coral they run over there and start eating what ever it is. Prime example is I'll put a piece of silver side on my brain and it weill suck most of it in right away. Then one of the shrimp will run over and rip it out. They also do it with when I pellet feed. Rather than search the rock work they run all over the corals and grab whatever they caught. Starting to drive me nuts. Any suggestions would be great.

Sounds like a little silverside in a net will easily catch your shrimp. In addition, I’d turn off your pumps as well. I’m willing to bet that he’ll climb right into the net for the silverside.

It was a complete failiar. As soon as the net went in it was mauled by my cardinals. LOL. Maybe I'll do a bottle fish trap and just keep at it until I catch them.

You can press a cube of freeze dried brine shrimp to a rock before you feed your corals. It should keep them occupied long enough for the coral to eat undisturbed.
