"The National Marine Sanctuaries are not a political item for me. They must be protected. Thousands of different species of fish, coral and other marine life, currently use these locations as safe harbor. Dropping the protected status would decimate the marine life populations. I understand the need for energy independence, but that should not be at such a high cost to our natural underwater wonders. I urge you to keep the National Marine Sanctuaries and Monuments in place. Let's not contribute even more to the death of other species!"
