Silly beginner question

I have a bit of rubble that I purchased with mushrooms. Well they've multiplied well and are now crowding each other out. How do I separate them?

If they are plain old mushrooms you could just slice the off at the base. Then put the pieces in new areas or secure them into place where you want them. The original base will form into a new shroom.

IME when they get over crowded they'll release on their own and float to a new spot and reattach. If you're lucky you catch them before they reattach and trade them.

I've had them pop off the rocks too. I've also cut my green hairy shrooms and they just grow back from whatever is left. They're very hardy.
