skimmer going nuts!

just cleaned my skimmer today, it was filthy so i gave it a very good cleaning

put it back in and now it's just going crazy, fills up completely and overflows within 10 mins or so

I've emptied it about 4 times already before just shutting it off completely

It's a hang on Berlin turbo skimmer
anyone ever have this happen?

it's filled up pretty fast on me when I first got it but not like this, it just keeps filling up very fast

Are you running anything in your system like MelaFix? That stuff makes a skimmer go mad! Many chemicals will. If it isn't that then you may want to try dialing it back until it settles in, if that's an option.

i have to redial my skimmer back in every time i clean it

The bubbles will slip more easily over the clean surfaces. That's why it's flooding. That is the whole theory of wet neck skimmers. The gunk won't build up in the neck which allows the foam column to rise more easily and quicker. You'll probably need to dial back the water level until a film forms in the neck again. HTH.
