In a perfect world (or at least one where I had more $ or a husband who liked my hobby LOL ) my 50g reef & the new 30g FOWLR would both have a sump/refuge/skimmer but as it stands right now the 50g isn't RR and has a aquac remora hob skimmer and a aquaclear 70 hob filter which I use to run chemipure & purigen and the 30g came with a hob overflow and a 5g sump & 7g refuge but no skimmer.
I'm wondering if I should bother looking for a skimmer for the 30g (hopefully something decent, but used/cheap)as it's only going to house my juvi green spotted puffer or if I should just hold off since I hope to upgrade the 50g to something RR within the year and then maybe it would be better to put the remora on the 30g and get something bigger for the 50g assuming I'll have a sump etc (did I lose anyone yet? LOL) or for that matter would I be better now to put the HOB overflow on the 50g since it is a reef and figure out a small sump for it and not have one on the 30g? ( I just lost myself LOL )
