Skimmer

What's your budget? I guess you want a hang-on?

Check out Bermuda Aquatics skimmers.

Their Rogue Hang-on is insane. I love it. Pulls MASSIVE amounts of skimmate.

I wish that was true but i'm up there I look at it this way things happen for the best something better will come along but back to the skimmer LOL gotta keep focused I'm kicking around the Eshopps PSK-100h http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+4392+19865&pcatid=19865

Or the pacific coast Ps-1000 http://www.championlighting.com/product.php?productid=21753&cat=762&page=1

I might be getting rid of my extra skimmer....am thinking about it and I really dont need to just leave it sit around. It should fit in your sump without a problem. I'm sure it would work better than what you are looking at. I just have no use for it with the new setup.

Here is what I have extra

http://superskimmer.com/SumpBuddy40.htm

Mine looks identical except the intake side is clear acrylic instead of black....looks like they changed it.
Everywhere that sells it does not include the pump...thats extra of course.
I also wouldn't rate it like they would....I would say its good for around 100-120gal setup not 180 gallons like their page says.
You can overdrive it with a mag 9.5 and it really rocks....I have the intake line setup so you can use a mag 9 but dont have a spare one laying around at the moment.

I do have a 700gph submersible pump to go with it and it is fully plumbed and ready to drop in.

If you are interested I can clean it up for you..It needs a good soaking..am using it in one of my sumps....my new skimmer finally broke in and is skimming away happily so its time to go down to only using one.

For you... only you... can have it with all the plumbing and the pump for $160.

Sorry I cant help with any reviews of the skimmers above....never used or have heard of either of them.

But if I can help in any way just gimme a ring..you should have my number...if you are interested lemme know.

Hirobo,
I have a Classic Berlin in-sump skimmer. It is extremely finicky, needing daily adjustments due to evaporation. It needs a pump of at least 700gph. If you want it come and get it for free PM me. All I ask in return is that if you upgrade to a bigger skimmer you pass the Berlin on to someone in need at no cost.

Well thank you very much Mark. That is a very nice gesture. I think I might go with the Sumpbudy from Ynotme4886 in a few weeks. The new tank isnt setup yet so I'm not in a real rush. there are just so many to choose from that makes your head twist LOL

I bought an octopus skimmer for my 75 gallon. It was great, except for the microbubbles. The skimmate was good. Check it out in this old photo. Sorry if it's not the best one.
