Riding the "Finding Dory" film and offering up a Hippo Tang in 30 gallon tank......actually I think six gallons for a clown is also pushing it.

The store front is actually located in Illinois.

Looks like they are running a finding dory special. 30g set up with a hippo tang included.

The size tank and the free fish that comes with the tank, even 6g is a bit small for a clown, but might be ok with no other fish, but a 30g tank with a free blue tang is just wrong.

gotcha....i was asking (not being sarcastic or anything) because some of the comments were blasting the heck out of this reef shop

Go on Facebook and rate the company with a 1 star there rating is already down to 2.9 they deserve what ever they get for running a scam like this to try and sell tanks and turn a profit..

people just destroyed this post on FB....now that i understand, i now understand and i do agree that this posting will cause more harm than good

they should've offered freshwater "nemo and dory" alternatives IMO.....with the 30gal, you can easily mimic a salt water set up with plastic plants and rock structures. the 5gal would be a problem as i couldn't think of anything aside from a betta that would work with that small set up

Unfortunately I'm not a Facebook user.

But on the flip side, kudos to LiveAquaria. I can't take credit for finding this, but Eva Rose over on R2R published this:

Live Aquaria has addressed this on their FB page.

LA also has articles on the subject. Glad they are proactive and responsible on this issue.

Yeah they already deleted all the instagram comments and are defending their actions. They are getting destroyed on all the facebook groups as well, hence all the negative ratings coming in.

It really is nice to see Live Aquaria and some of the other bigger boys trying to push people away from blue tangs, even ORA is releasing a captive raised damsel that is blue and yellow to try and get people to not get a "dory".

Yup, and they deleted it off their facebook as well. There store rating on FB dropped from a 5 to a 1.9 today, so the reviews will still be there.

The picture if still floating around, I will see if I can post it up later so people know what we were posting about.

I posted the ad on my FB as a PSA to my friends

generally these LFS aren't in it to get rich quick (if they are they are seriously misguided) and have a genuine interest in the specimens if not a genuine care. In my opinion you either love it and want to keep it alive and healthy or you are into the challenge of keeping it healthy. I am just wondering if in a misguide thought they figured they get someone in talking about the Dory tank, and then you slip in well this tank will be good for dory for all of 1 month, but look at this yellow tail damsel and look what else you can add!
