So what creatures in your tank have hurt you the most?

Thought this would be an interesting topic. I have touched everything in my tank and only one coral stings me, a huge colony of frogspawn. What is weird is I have many frogspawns, octospawn, torch etc. and none sting me. From the one frogspawn I feel a sting like a bee then I get bug bite like marks that itch for days. What about you?

Funny you mention that. My big orange frogspawn stings me on occasion. Not sure why it doesn't happen every time I rub my hand against it, but sometimes it leaves an itchy mark that stings at times.

I've been hurt physically, emotionally and financially.

Physically, I made the dumb mistake of trying to introduce a second mated pair of clown fish. As soon as they hit the water it was World War III. I immediately got multiple nets in the tank to try to separate them and then was sweeping one net through the water to try to catch one pair. In the process I was hitting palys and zoas with my hands. I eventually had to remove half the rock in my tank to create a space to catch a pair. The following day I had welts on my hands where I touched palys/zoas, and spent the day in bed because of a general feeling of malaise.

Emotionally and finacially, I made a second dumb mistake and introduced a very pretty Blue Velvet Damselfish. That murderous SOB ending up being responsible for the death of three fish before it was removed and put into a witness protection program. I will never own another damsel again!!

Very large male Blue Throat Trigger got my finger one time while I was feeding the fish. Absolutely made me bleed.

Fell asleep with my hand in the tank. Margarita snail took my thumb down to the bone.

Bristle worms got me yesterday...usually they are small but some in my son's tank got big and I couldn't figure it out right of way. Felt like a cactus needle.

Niger Trigger used to bite me every time my hand went into the tank, startling and I have bled.

Years ago I had a jeweled moray that bit my hand, on the webbing between two of my fingers, bleeding pain, infection HOLY COW bad. I also had a banded catshark, while the bit didn't result in blood hurt like a mother and my finger nail looked like I hit it with a hammer.

I used to have a stupid GSM Clown. Little thing must of thought it was Napoleon! Every time i put my hand in the tank the little sucker would attack me. Didn't hurt but if you were not ready for it would scare you.

I'm scared of Clowns too:) that sucker would attack whenever my hand went in the tank and would have me knocking things around. He got banished to my ghetto tank with a Domino damsel and a dottyback.
