And one more dog pic since i know there are dog lovers here too, this is when we just brought our newest puppy home. The older is 1 year old and the puppy is 10 weeks or so here. Labs are awesome
When we would go out to do training for the school I went to in Washington state there would be helicopters flying overhead "just in case" and I got an awesome pic from them. The school was on a part of the Columbia River called Cape Disappontment, also know as the Graveyard of the Pacific. Waves upwards of 40' in height...
This is off the south shore of Long Island, in Hampton Bays where I am stationed.
now this, in my opinion, is the crown jewel of the Coast Guard
I was working in long island on sept 11 2001 and was sent to NYC that morning to aid in the transportation of victims. From sept 11 2001 to sep 7 2003 I practically lived on this boat, 12 hours a day 6 days a week was the norm, usually more. Now the coast guard says is it outdated and they have passed them down to south american coast guards to use :-[
This is the coast guards attempt at catching jet skis, and while it is fast, its not as fast as they are! 25' boat with twin 225hp outboards
And the final farewell of my favorite boat..
for 4 years after sept 11 there were at a minimum of 12 of these 41' patrol boast working 24 hours throughout all of NY Harbor.
By the way I am a search and Rescue Boat driver for the coast guard, this is the uniform pin I worked my butt off for to wear, its also tattooed on my wrist because I feel this stuff will always be a part of me, even after I hung up my uniform down the road
Wow Joe, awesome pictures. Thanks so much for sharing. LOVE LOVE LOVE your dogs. The picture of the pup cuddling by his new buddy made me teary-eyed because I have pictures like that, too. (But the older guys are no longer with us...)
Now, how about you show me some of your ink? ;D Pretty please.
